Purr....
Purr by Katy Perry eau de parfum begins with the aroma of peach nectar and forbidden apple, evolves with a distinct floral bouquet of jasmine blossom, Bulgarian rose and vanilla orchid, and slowly reveals accents of creamy sandalwood and musk. Like the singer herself, Purr is playful yet sophisticated. Katy Perry transcends barriers with her music—so does her new fragrance.

CLINICAL PRACTICE COURSE KIT
MAY
SEMESTER 2012

INTRODUCTION
NBNC1204 Clinical
Practice 10 is based on General Practicum focusing on Professionalism and
Issues in Nursing B that is implemented in the student’s own ward or area of
practice. You will continue to work in your organization and your official
working hours will be considered as practicum hours. Your learning will take
place as you work because you need to apply more of the theory that you have
learnt into your work tasks. You DO NOT need
a Clinical Preceptor in the clinical practice.
You need to be
self-directed in implementing your learning activities with support from your
face-to-face tutor and eTutor for the subject of NBBS1203 Professionalism and
Issues in Nursing B.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At
the end of this course, students will be able to:
- identify professional issues / practices in clinical areas.
- recommend practical suggestions to overcome the professional issues.
- discuss the challenges in achieving professionalisation in Malaysia.
- discuss the significance of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to nursing professionalism

- WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT (60%)
Ministry of Health Malaysia has
regarded Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as a hallmark for a
competent and excellent nursing workforce and formed a policy to enforce CPD as
a pre-requisite for the renewal of Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) in 2008.
Health Minister emphasized that the requirement is important to ensure nurses upgrade
their nursing knowledge and skills. CPD emphasizes on lifelong learning
activities, continuous professional education and experiences and these are
required for nurses. Lifelong learning provides a way of enabling professionals
to continue developing.
“Come
next year, it will be compulsory for nurses to achieve the relevant points by
attending continuous professional development (CPD) courses to obtain a nursing
practice certificate. As nurses, they get on-the-job training and promote
themselves in many other skills. So, this (CPD) is compulsory now,”
